Saint-Clair Collection

The Saint-Clair collection is an ode to tradition, from the lines that have shaped it to the techniques that have fashioned it. Its straight and streamlined cuts are reminiscent of 18th-century royal cases, which gave those who carried them a noble, honourable bearing. Its clasps have been engraved with a coat of arms featuring Joseph Duclos’ initials. They lend the Saint-Clair shoulder bags and clutches a proud air with a discreet power.

To assemble these exceptional pieces, our workshop turned toward the tradition of French Haute maroquinerie. The sewing and molding techniques implemented required a rare know-how, which only a handful of craftsmen still master. They worked this cowhide for 18 months to perfect the natural tanning and obtain this very rigid texture with unparalleled resistance. Thanks to vegetal tannins extracted from chestnut or mimosa trees, these pieces come in river blue and honey color. These natural colors are sublimated by palladium-plated brass finishes.
